On my daily pilgrimage to our mailbox (which is located down the street from us), I came across these chalk drawings on the sidewalk. I love chalk drawings and thought these were pretty cool.

This year I've challenged myself to do something a little different. I will be recording a photo a day for a whole year. It's a big commitment, but hopefully it will have big payoffs. I will have a rich visual history of a year in my life and it may even make me a better photographer to boot!

I'm a full time stay at home mom, photographer (amateur for sure, student for now, and always aspiring to be better), environmentalist, and genealogist. I'm originally from California but I'm still adjusting to being an ex-expat after
living in Geneva, Switzerland for almost three years. I'm a traveler, adventurer, snowboarder & wake boarder. I'm so lucky to have an amazing husband to share this incredible journey with. We are blessed to have an adorable little girl, Maddie, who is the joy of our lives. Our little family also includes our ever faithful, globe-trotting cat, Scout. When I get the chance I love getting lost in a good book, researching & archiving our family history, and of course blogging. But mostly I love to get out and explore this great big, wonderful world!
